Vernon J. Petri is a personal injury attorney based in Central Indiana. He has practiced law for more than 50 years and represents clients in medical malpractice, auto and trucking accidents, defective product cases, and other serious personal injury matters. He has served thousands of accident victims, including those suffering from brain and spinal cord injuries that change everything about their lives.

Vernon entered the legal world after serving eight years as a Counter Intelligence Agent during the Vietnam War. He currently serves as President of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers, Chicago Chapter. He graduated from Indiana University School of Law in June 1966 and became licensed that September. By November 1966, he had been elected as State Prosecuting Attorney in Owen County, Indiana, before later entering private practice.

His practice is known for taking on difficult cases and getting substantial results. Peers have called him "an alchemist" for his ability to achieve favorable outcomes even in the toughest cases. The firm operates on a contingency basis: no fee unless there is a settlement or court victory.
